Even if the name of this blog is “LNG”, I have to admit that natural gas is the main point. LNG is just a transportation mode. Another transportation mode is pipelines, which is responsible for as much as 68% of natural gas transportation. And even if pipelines typically are out of sight, below the ground or under the sea, they are surprisingly complex assets that can’t be left to themselves.
My colleagues in DNV Software have therefore developed a new tool that allows pipeline operators much better control of their assets. The tool effectively incorporates all information and decision-making you need through the life of the pipeline. Exactly how this is done is described in this video:
